Linh,

I assume you understand why I've been silent since you left for Leipzig, I know why you are, and since following your Blog on daily basis, I felt it's time to "break the ice" and wish you an early & old fashioned season greeting, "peace and good will."

Your Leipzig pictures are very gripping, educational, alarming (!) and this anarchist encampment in particular looks rather comfortable as compared to the domicile of a homeless & talkative Scranton fellow who I met last Saturday at St. Francis Kitchen. I wrote about the experience, and not necessarily for crass attention, but here it is: http://www.uncommonthought.com/mtblog/archives/2015/10/07/tawkin-with-irish-on-the-scranton-thin-line.php

FYI, Scranton School District teachers are into their 2nd week of strike, and fortunately for my family finances, I still drive (daily) school bus runs for the Howard Gardner charter school, where professional teachers are not unionized, and are at work. Also, I manged to buy a second car, a 2006 Dodge Stratus! This act seems to prove that a percentage of Americans can sign for a loan and get what they either want, or need,

The other day, Jack Reese asked how you are doing, and he asked for me to pass on a hello. He fell inside apartment shower, hurt knee, and he's limping his way to meet & entertain lady friends.

Finally, trust the Singapore poetry readings went well, I wish you well; you're missing nothing but heart ache regarding Philadelphia Eagles games, and please pass on a hello to Linky?

Yo Chuck,

I'm very glad to hear from you again. It's been super hectic since I've gotten here, but thanks to Olliver, I feel more grounded. I haven't done the Singapore reading yet. That's at the end of the month. My classes will start next week and that will keep me busy.

I'm glad to hear you've gotten a second car. Life won't be so crazy around the Orloski household.

Please say hello to Jack for me. He has more lady friends than the rest of Scranton combined!

I hope Carol and the boys are doing OK...

Will do, Linh! Glad you met Oliver and feel more grounded. O man you are a veteran of many a foreign road, and it's like magic to meet someone nice like Oliver, and get gradually grounded. Lucky I read or I'd be floored.

Having an extra car around definitely made life much less crazy, our 2006 Dodge has 116,00 miles on it, and I plan to use it as Point A to Point B, sparingly, ideally change oil every 3,000 miles, and hope for best.

Later I'll tell Carol, Dan and Joe you say hello, wish you & Leipzig well! I'll get to Jack Reese on Saturday on your admiration for his Romeo-talents, um, maybe Tiger Woods talent that is?

and be careful with doing being a school bus driver and shuttling one car around
